UWP 007 focuses on the development of skills required for success in college-levelwriting across genres and disciplines. It integrates reading, critical thinking, and writtencommunication, using texts from across the curriculum. We will practice reading and writinganalytically, learning important concepts and strategies that you can apply to different kinds ofwriting tasks. The small class size allows for intense mentorship and collaboration as studentsfocus on academic literacy strategies including understanding scholarly texts, contextualizinginformation, developing source-based academic writing projects, and learning how to implementfeedback and revision plans.
